Hi, Angels! It's me, Cowboy, your favorite Supervisor! I'm cross today, so I'm taking over the blog today because I have a special message for you at the end. But Mom says I'm supposed to talk about yarny goodness and a bunch of other stuff first, so here goes:
I got pretty excited when Pastor Greg brought over two different packages from
church. One was crinkly paper, and smelled like it came from waaaay far away. The other was a nice tidy box that look like it would be great to play in when it was empty. Turns out we have TWO new Angels! WHOOO HOOO!
The crinkly paper envelope (and you know we cats like crinkly paper!) came all the way from the United Kingdom - can you believe it? Angel Hazel Lindsay has been talking to Armitage's Army again on their bulletin board, and Anne Davies decided to send us some treats -- after she saw my picture on the blog, of course! Take a look:
"These sleepers are really nice and soft -- the kiddies will have no problem sleeping in these!"
And check out these purple pants -- three different sizes even! These clothes will be just great for the children served by
Parenting Progress - the teen moms will really appreciate them. Angel Anne also sent a card that send she sent me "love from the U.K."! My fan club just keeps growing because I'm so handsome. Thank you, Anne for the treats -- our kids will love them!
These baby blankets are AWESOME!!! I wanted to take a nap on them, but Mom said they were for babies, not cats. Too bad, because they are really nice and soft. Mom kept going on and on about the "stitchwork" to Dad -- I'm not sure what THAT is, but I do think the babies will really like them a lot. Angel Helen sent me a card, too -- she said she saw me on the internet and she wants to help the Angels take care of the poor and homeless people. I think that is really pretty special -- thank you, Angel Helen, for taking care "our" babies. You are going to make the new moms really happy!
Did you know that Mom won't let me go in the basement any more? And it's all because of all of YOU!! I love sneaking down into the basement when Mom isn't looking -- there are all kinds of cool hiding places down there and I can really freak Mom out by not coming when she calls my name. Well....NO MORE!! Mom says it's too crowded down there now and she'd never find me if I got stuck somewhere, so I can't go downstairs. I didn't believe her until she showed me the pictures she took:

Yup, all those GIANT bins are full of completed yarny goodness -- treats for all the families we serve -- and YOU made them! And the little bins against the wall are full of yarn for you all to use. Can you believe it?!?!? Dad lost Mom on Sunday when she was working down there after church -- he told me he went down the stairs and he couldn't see Mom. The bins are stacked taller than she is! She had to stick her arm up in the air and wave her hand so Dad would know where she was! It is really something to see -- Dad takes all our visitors down there now to see all the yarny goodness. So I don't know why he won't take ME down there - he keeps saying I'll get lost. Dad has a bet with Mom that she'll have to start stacking bins in the garage before Thanksgiving if the Angels keep sending in more treats. Mom says she thinks she can wiggle the bins around and fit even more bins in the basement!
OK...........Mom just left to answer the phone and I've got the laptop all to myself! Angels, I need your help!! Mom STILL hasn't bought me some decent treats -- she just has these icky ones she got with coupons that I HATE! I know lots of you Angels have cats (although they aren't as handsome as me!), and I'm SURE, because you are all Angels, that you give your kitties GOOD treats! So email Mom and let her know what kind, OK? Princess Cody Grace the Magnificent and I are really getting cross about this lack of decent treats -- we work pretty hard around here chasing yarn balls, greeting Angels when they come to visit, checking Mom's knitting progress to make sure she doesn't make mistakes, AND posing for pictures for the blog! We DESERVE GOOD TREATS!!! Ooops! I hear Mom on the stairs! I'm clicking the publish button NOW!
